Ils tiennent &agrave; distance les <\/span><strong>souris<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> et les <\/span><strong>rats<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sur les bateaux. Certains auraient m&ecirc;me eu l&rsquo;occasion de voyager sur le Mayflower en 1620 ! Son pelage dense le prot&egrave;ge du froid et des intemp&eacute;ries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce chat peut cependant souffrir de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santevet.be\/fr\/articles\/hypertension-arterielle-chez-le-chat\">cardiomyopathie hypertrophique<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CMH ou HCM), aussi appel&eacute;e <\/span><strong>myocardiopathie hypertrophique f&eacute;line<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> . Cette maladie est due &agrave; un &eacute;paississement du muscle cardiaque, le myocarde. Le c&oelig;ur ne pompe plus correctement le sang.
